Technical Support Team:

Rachel - Licensed Veterinary Technician

Rachel started at GBVH in 2006.  She is married and has two active boys at home. She has a Bachelors of Science from MSU in 2007, and subsequently obtained her LVT license from Baker College.  Outside of work, she is usually busy with kid’s activities and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and loves crafting and sewing.

Kari - Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kari started at GBVH in 2015.  She is passionate about client education and enjoys that as the focus of her work.  She has a lovable lab named Trax at home.  Outside of work she enjoys camping and spending time with friends and family.

Vanessa - Veterinary Assistant

Vanessa started work at GBVH in 2013.  She was drawn to the profession due to her desire to help pets and their families as much as possible.  She has several pets at home.  Outside of work she enjoys camping and spending quality time with her children.

Kaitlyn - Veterinary Assistant

Kaitlyn joined the staff of GBVH in 2020.  Since entering the veterinary field she has found purpose in helping pets live a longer and healthier life.  At home she has a variety of pets including 1 dog, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 3 horses.  Her interests outside of work include snowmobiling, snowboarding, and the outdoors.  She particularly enjoys horseback riding and competes in barrel racing and sorting. 

Dyana - Veterinary Assistant

Dyana is a relative newcomer to the veterinary profession.  She joined the staff in 2020 and has really enjoyed being able to be part of the process of helping animals heal. She has 1 dog Mara- a Boxer, Retriever, Bulldog mix.  When not working at the clinic she is a volleyball coach.  She enjoys being with family and friends, working out, and going out to eat. 

Tyler - Veterinary Assistant

Tyler joined team GBVH in 2020.  Everyday he enjoys the process of helping those in need.  At home, he as an English bulldog named Hulk that keeps life interesting.  If he is not at work, you are almost guaranteed to find Tyler on the golf course.

Britt H - Veterinary Assistant

Britt started with us in 2020 coming from a background in the emergency medical field.

Melissa - Veterinary Assistant

Melissa started with GBVH in 2020 and after a brief time away has recently returned.  She loves French bulldogs and has several of her own.  In her time at the clinic, she really feels the impact of sending pets' home in better shape than they arrived.  Her leisure time is taken up by playing with both her fur babies and her (human) child.

Jenson - Veterinary Assistant

Jenson joined the staff in 2021 coming from a background in the pet boarding world.  Since joining the veterinary team she has really enjoyed being a part of the animal healthcare system seeing improvement in a pet’s health.  She has several animals of her own, including 3 dogs, and 1 cat.  In her leisure time she enjoys reading, watching Harry Potter, and online shopping. 

Melissa - Assistant/Receptionist

Melissa started with GBVH in 2021 and works both as a receptionist and part time assistant.  She enjoys taking care of patients needs in any way possible.  She has two cats named Charlie and Alex.  Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, and spending time with her granddaughter.

Garrett - Kennel Attendant 

Garrett started in the kennel attendant position in 2021 and comes from a family background in veterinary medicine.  He enjoys that the patients he sees are cute and cuddly.  He has some animals at home or in his words "too many animals".  Outside of work he enjoys wildlife photography.

Reception Team:

Kayla - Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Britt

Britt started with team GBVH in 2017.  She really enjoys finding answers for people. Many clients will call, and say, “I have a crazy question for you!” or “you probably can’t help me, but...” and she loves to find those answers for them.  At home she has two spoiled Huskies, Ever and Link.  Favorite activities to do outside of work? She loves to read, go up north, and snuggle my pups.

Brecken

 Brecken started at GBVH in 2014.  To her, the most rewarding part of the job is developing rapport and relationships with clients. Getting to know their names and pet’s names, being there for them through good times and sad times, and everything in between.  She has one dog at home named Patrick.  Her hobbies and interests include photography, bike riding, scrapbooking, jet-skiing, kayaking, fishing, traveling, camping, going up north, spending time with family and friends. 

Cara

Cara joined the reception staff in 2021.  For her the rewards of the job include the people I get to work with, and giving treats at check out. At home she has 2 dogs and 3 cats.  Her hobbies include camping, hiking, kayaking, photography, and oil painting. 

Shirley

Longtime clients of GBVH will know that Shirley has been around since 1985.  The clinic is lucky to still have Shirley working part time.  She has been fortunate to get to know a lot of clients and their pets over the years and she still enjoys helping our clients on the happy days of owning a pet and helping through the sad days as well.  She has 2 cats and 1 dog at home now.  In her spare time she likes the Drum Alive class and the yoga class she takes through the Senior Center. She also enjoys being active in her church, reading, and crocheting. 

Tiberious - Chief Medical Officer

Tiberious came to GBVH in 2012 as an unwanted stray.  He has since climbed the ladder to assume complete control of the facility.  In his leisure time (which is all the time) he enjoys greeting patients as they arrive, sleeping, eating, and sleeping some more.
